This takes me back. This is the first Mech I ever drew, the Destructor. This is a picture of it doing what it does the best, destructing things. It was created for the ultimate strategy game I have ever played, Mechforce.
A bunch of us Uni students used to sit at my PC and play it to all hours, often neglecting study, food and common sense. We had wa-a-a-ay too much fun. Some of our stories are blatantly ridiculous. Anyhow they called it a freak mech, simply because no matter what my friends designed, this thing would keep pulling through the toughest battles.
It had virtually maximum armour, a forward Auto Cannon 20 mm, PPC, 4 Medium Lasers, and 3 back facing. It was also a walking refrigerator, so cutting down an enemy at close range while peaking heat levels didnt bother it. The sheer impact of an Auto 20 does wonderful things for the ego when you blow the engine block out of a mech flying at you at full speed.
Its a bit ole style, but nevertheless it was a whopper load of fun.
This mech one day became superseded when I put all my nous and data-brain into designing the ultimate combat mech. The backbone knowledge of the Destructor became the brains of the new, and undefeated, Isis Cobra But thats another story.
Yay for the glory of punching the head off an enemy with a 100 tonne warbeast!
Hope you enjoy this nostalgic picy treat.
(It's pretty much a test image, hope to do better in the future)
i try to draw my own robots for my story.
