(There's 26 pages of it, have fun y'all! Part 1 [link] Part 2 [link] Part 3 [link] Part 4 [link] Part 5 [link] Part 6 [link] Part 7 [link] Part 8 [link] --- Queen Beryl, wearing a gold and yellow waitresss uniform was standing at the serving counter of her daily employ, Burger Hut. She was dutifully responding to a customers meal request when her left breast pocket began to flash a bright signal. Oh?.. Oh! Please excuse me for a moment my dear., she said. Slipping her fingers into her white shirt she withdrew a small black credit card inlaid with a flat gemstone. Its crystal centre was oscillating like a small beacon, Thats... very, odd. Sliding her fingers over imprinted silver text, the crystal gleamed in new patterns. Queen Beryl stood perfectly still while beads and streams of light danced across her face. Oh... no! Slipping her fingers in several directions, Queen Beryls expression swept from alarm to confusion, My ship, its been, attacked? But, how!? Its impossible... (------------------------------------) Earlier that day, after unsuccessful attempts to contact Vorgorath by long distance communicator, Syntia the chief weaponsmith called his aid Darkthorn instead. She outlined the situation of Sarinas unstable condition and the Genetic Neural Coders (GNCs) failure. Darkthorn grudgingly agreed to summon as many, nearby, on duty soldiers to fetch Vorgorath and find Sarina as soon as possible. (Continuing on, shortly after that conversation.) A wobbly Syntia rose from the medical bed, she wasnt feeling any better, the icepack on her head offered little relief, and for some reason the headache spray wasnt working effectively. Onnnhh.h.h.h., she moaned as she held the pack delicately over a painful cut and swelling bump. Squeamishly returning to her chair at the laboratory command dock, she accessed last recorded files of Sarinas data. She was sure Darkthorn and the rest would find her soon enough. She knew Sarina would be ok so long as she didnt go anywhere public. Geez, who knows whatd happen.. Syntia found the log files and began opening and clicking her way through several pages of data. Syntias face went ashen grey. She clutched at her chest, and her heart sank. The ice pack slipped and fell to the floor, What!? No. This isnt right?... Several keystrokes down... Oh no... The GNC. Is that, a virus program? No, its not...Its.. Oh my god!... How- As she was scanning through the collected information she noticed that the file icons on the main server were systematically being deleted of their own accord. OH SH*T! SOMEONES HACKING ME! Syntia tried frantically to stop the intruder from wiping out the only data of Sarinas history and the GNC programming code, but every file she tried to backup was snatched before she could paste it to a safe location. A deft computer hand by trade, she reflexively opened the remaining files to the screen, thereby keeping the data living and safe on her terminal. Darting over the folders she opened the remaining files sets on screen and then squashed a finger onto the Lockdown command'. All the data was now safely displayed and protected from the network. Syntia afforded herself a sigh of relief, Got you!....Now to deal with Mr hacker sh*t! Her finger hovered over a return injection virus and penetration program but all of sudden dread overwhelmed her. Upon her screen a single open page of one of the files was highlighted by itself. Suddenly, all the text was surrounded and then just as quickly erased. OH F*CK!!! THEYRE IN MY TERMINAL! THEYVE COLLAPSED THE LOCKDOWN!!! NOoooo!!!!!!! Right before her trembling eyes Syntias files were accessed, highlighted and mercilessly erased. Her mouse cursor swung over the save commands and she tried desperately to copy and paste data elsewhere. The hacker was fast, relentless. Syntia fumbled for a mini drive in her pocket and slammed it into the machine. She dragged the last file to it, but the hacker grabbed and deleted it right off her private storage. NOOO! They even know its security! Everythings been breached!. Tears came to Syntias eyes, no one had ever been able to break her security systems before. There was no known way to do it. A frustrated fist beat onto the keyboard and then she pressed a sequence of keys. Within seconds the entire complexs data arrays and life support systems went offline and powered down. Synita sat in darkness as all electricity to her home and factory stopped, she slumped back into the chair and pressed fingers to her watering face, ..bastards.. ..those f*cking, f*cking, bastards!.. All computer controlled functions disengaged and reserve hard coded units took over. Minimal emergency lights returned and Syntia now had a long few weeks of resetting all her work and finding the point of intrusion. It was a long and humiliating task for an extreme professional like her. Reluctantly she rang Darkthorn once more, the comm lines connected. Darkthorn, theres been another problem... A very, very big problem., said a humbled Syntia. I thought I said I quit., said Darkthorn. Your holiday is over, someone has hacked my entire network and deleted all files pertaining to the GNC., said Syntia. You are joking? But what has this got to do with me?, said Darkthorn. Theyve re-coded it, its no longer running the programs or the safety functions I built., said Syntia. Ohh, I see... So, Sarina is, what exactly?, said Darkthorn. A danger to everybody in the universe. Whomever got to me, wanted to get to her. Whatever they did to the GNC Ill never be able to find out. So considering whatever Serenity did to her, after her death, whomever knew it, they had been planning this for a long time. We are all in danger. She is a loose weapon working for an unknown entity., said Syntia. Syntia could hear Darkthorn smack a palm to his forehead, Why me?, he said indirectly. Alright, let me think about this. We have to capture her, or, we may have to kill her right? I hope it doesnt get to that., said Syntia earnestly. So how much time do we have before this thing becomes active?, said Darkthorn. Normally, about 5 minutes on its low base program, youd see the change and the safetys kick in. But there were no seals, I couldnt stop it, it initiated within seconds-, said Syntia. Syntia, quit the techno speak, how long do we have before she becomes, dangerous?, said Darkthorn. I, well, I dont know, the program isnt mine, there is no way of telling, when or what they did., said Syntia. Errgh... Alright... alright... Ill have to get the Bloodhounds on to it then., said Darkthorn. Oh!? .. Oh, I mean, yes I suppose. Do you really have to-.. Yeah,,, I suppose you do... But she has Beryls ship., said Syntia. If anything at all can find Sarina quickly, itll be them., said Darkthorn, Ill pull the twins off their current assignment. Expect them soon. *Darkthorn hangs up* The twins... Those things are disgusting. Oh shit, I shouldnt say that, they might know!, said Syntia. (------------------------------------) Ami was sitting on a comfortable couch eating pop corn and drinking a fizzy drink, she said to the others who were all gathered around the tv in similar positions watching a movie, Um, has anyone seen Sarina lately? Yeah, Im -really- surprised., says Rae. You?, says Mina. Yeah, normally the human vacuum cleaner can smell free junk food a mile away, she has a sixth sense for it., said Rae. I havent seen her at all since the start of the holidays, and she usually hangs around my house when I bake things, just like a stray cat., said Lita. Hhhm., said Luna. Oh, I dont mean like you Luna., said Lita, Wait, that didnt come out right. Needless to say, things have been quiet, she hasnt been at home at all. I thought she was sleeping over with you girls., said Luna. Not here., says Ami, and each of them answered to the same effect. What about Darion? Did she finally put-out and shack up with him?, said Rae. No, Darion told me she left his apartment the other day and said she gave him a rat-crap cookie., said Ami emphasizing the description. You dont say?, said Rae slyly. Its kind of good that we havent had any monsters to fight, but I really hope Sarina is ok., says Lita. Whoops!, said Rae, who somehow managed to spill popcorn and drink over herself. Oh darn, Ill have to go home and change. Keep watching the show, dont worry about me, Ill errr be gone for, quite some time. In a heartbeat Rae was up and racing out the door. Well I suppose we can go ask Beryl after the movie., said Mina. (------------------------------------) Vorgorath lumbered solemnly into his ship, he knew running to check Serenitys account was a foolish waste of efforts, but the memories of her, even after such lengthy amounts of time were still painfully strong. He couldnt help it, Serenity had been a person, a unique and real being that affected him like no other, and for that reason alone, he loved the remaining ties and precious memories of her dearly. Deep inside his intangible heart, he consistently wished things had been different. He knew, given the chance he would have given his life for hers on that terrible day. If only to stop the torture and longing for Serenitys beautiful smile and her seldom heard, wonderful laughter. There was nothing he could have done, no power he could have given to the one person he had come to treasure the most. Worst of all, her killer, he was forbidden to touch them, it was her wish. No revenge, no animosity, no guilt, nothing. He felt cheated and the hurt had never left, but Vorograth respected her final command to the absolute letter. Sangura Prime, her final resting place., he thought, Not her birth planet, not even where she found him or even her fleshy husband, Not even Earth, nor the Earth Moon. Sangura Prime, a barren lifeless world where static, cream sands rested in coolish mounds on long flat plains that seldom moved. He couldnt fathom why Serenity had chosen that forgotten world as her tomb. The entire solar system was encased in massive and impenetrable electromagnetic clouds. No living human or alien could enter it and expect to live. As he reflected, the pieces began to fit together, No creature could desecrate her body. After all, he thought, she had enemies in spades, and each of them would have given their entire fortunes to humiliate and devastate the sacred memory of her. Sangura Prime a sublimely peaceful place, empty of war, hurt and suffering. Where the idea of a soul could rest for an eternity, and there she would be alone. Peaceful and forgotten. Her choice began to make sense. She wanted to be alone... She was always, alone..., thought Vorgorath sadly. As duty instructed and the honour deemed, only Vorgorath was allowed to carry Serenitys broken and gouged body to the planet. It was a long, sorrowful and heartbreaking trip. *BLEEP! BLEEP! BLEEP! BLEEP!* continued a piercing shrill. Vorgorath now at the command centre of his ship spotted his sliced metal armour resting on the fore window. Tiny speakers upon it squeaked out an urgent request for help. Who? What! 58 Emergency calls?!, said Vorgorath. Pressing a simple switch and listening to the first message, Vorgorath stopped midway through and ran to the instrument panel of his craft. Slapping buttons and flicking switches the ship powered up and began rotating upwards to face the sky. In the shipbay parking area its engine thrusters boomed. Wide and heavy impact craters punched into the ground scattering plants, dirt and binned litter for hundreds of meters. Nearby pedestrians ran for desperate cover but just as suddenly they noticed the faint distant rumbling as the craft streaked out of site into the sunlight sky. It was moving at tremendous velocity. (------------------------------------) Time was racing, or was it slowing. She didnt know anymore. Light hurt her eyes. Sounds seemed deafening coming from every direction but more than that, they had form, feeling, solidness. She ran. She didnt know where to go, somewhere, somehow familiar paths came back from an absent memory. It went silent. She could hear only the pounding of her feet on the path in front of her, the heavy striking heartbeat in her chest and the solid rush of air from her lungs. The light was too hot in her eyes, she had to shield her face with an arm. She kept running and turning the corners. Hospital, said Sarina, Must...find...hospital... She saw blood on her knuckles, she couldnt remember how it got there. Like a rushing wave from the ocean, sounds roared into her headspace once more. Hands slammed to her ears to muffle the noise, and its dominating force staggered her steps. She slowed, buckled and knelt. Time was slowing to a crawl. Descending. Dripping sweat seemed to hang in the air as she lowered. She could see the sparkling bead glinting multicolour rainbows in the sunlight, and for one pristine moment sounds vanished and peace entered her awareness. The small dot of water seemed to hold her thoughts for an eternity as it slowly it made its elongated and leisurely path to the ground. *Splot* went the water. A sharp adrenaline surge, a broken heartbeat, a sharp kick from the legs. Sarina leapt into the sky unable to control herself. *Whump!* went her body careening into a wall. Sarina slumped to the ground, her energy was gone. She was slipping into unconsciousness. Another surge of adrenaline, a solid, striking heart. Her neck shot straight and her back snapped taut, Sarina was thrust into the air and began running at top speed. Every part of her body was torturing her. Wearing only the grey sports underwear from Syntias collection, she sprinted down alleys and streets, unknowing of where she was or how she got there. (------------------------------------) Elsewhere, a barren world, desolate, empty. Patil Nui Mauda. Positioned far away from most galactic thoroughfares it was a known but never ventured world. It was listed under the UU-Treaty as a world which heralded protection but no one thought twice about it. It was too far away from channel lanes and expectantly guessed to be mineral poor. Hot winds blew mixing and dancing with the cold overhead. Long empty, scarred plains were broken up with the occasional collection of low earthen mounds and dry dusty slabs. Standing atop of one of the small natural features was a person covered from head to foot in a tarnished grey cloak. Their face was shrouded and hooded and they wore dark tinted goggles. The person placed caramel, gloved hands upon a small binocular device atop a tri-post stand. Adjusting the scales and sensors they took exceeding care to capture the featureless horizon. Then, reaching into to a long crate nearby, they withdrew a weighty black tube about the length of an outstretched arm and placed it upon the soil. Pressing a button at the top of the cylinder small mechanical limbs popped out from the chunky base which resembled square feet. The object now stood upright by itself. Cracking the semi pointed top open, the interior was inspected. Reaching into the crate once more they removed some loose material and packed it into the tube. *Beep* .. *Beep* went a small signal. The person withdrew a small handheld screen from a pocket. Small glowing letters appeared on the unit, taking time for each one to appear. A..N..S..W..E..R The person then typed in a reply. THE VECTOR IS LOOSE B..L..O..O..D..H..O..U..N..D..S, came the response. I LL TAKE THEM OUT, sent the person. N..O, came the reply. The signal closed off and the communicator was put back into the persons pocket. Rustling around in other pockets, a ring size jewellery box in the shape of a grey, metal cylinder was withdrawn, the person twisted it in half to reveal a red push-button. Returning to the binoculars a recording switch was pressed. The person then readied a thumb over the cylinder button. *Blip* Shhh-KARRRROOOMMMMMM--!!--!--!--! A devastating, gigantic explosion many miles away tore and erupted into the atmosphere. The horizon buckled and the entire sky glowed to a sickly blood orange red. Mountains nearby were sheared and a huge swallowing ball of burning atomic horror lurched forth. Its plasmatic mass growing like an embered grey mushroom into the sky. The person quickly snatched and shut off the camera. Fingers struck at the buttons on the front of their cloak popping it open, a chest of pink skin was exposed. A glove was stripped off and the camera was clasped by a dainty and youthful feminine hand. The device was pushed against their stomach and braless chest and forcibly moved around. After a few seconds the camera was withdrawn and then placed into the hollow tube followed by more packing material and the lid was closed tight. Snatching the tripod and crate the person then pressed a switch on the tube and ran in the opposite direction of the explosion. FzzzzzzHhhh-WHOOOOOSHHHHHH! Went the tube firing up into the sky. A long trail of vapour went upwards with it. The person ducked down behind rocks and saw a shock wave approaching. Hands slapped over her ears. *WHOOOOMP!* The sweeping wave dragged the air and shook the earth violently. It shunted her and loose rocks along and she tumbled backwards. Her items scattered and rolled away whilst the booming rumble passed by. Bracing upon the ground she looked upwards, the small rocket adjusted its trajectory showing signs of a grossly shifted white trail where it had once been. The female gathered up the items and ran to a tarpaulined small fighter craft. Hurling the gear and cover into a back compartment she quickly ascended into the narrow cockpit and closed the lid shut. Engines and thrusters ignited and the craft lifted and then peeled off away from the blast. Zooming up into space, within moments the burning continent was then engulfed in more titanic explosions. The planet from a distance resembled a great burning piece of coal. Entire super cells of weather were altered as massive waves of atomic detonations punched over the surface. The planet was being devastated beyond recognition. (------------------------------------) Hhh? I just had a very bad feeling!, said Mina. Like millions of voices suddenly screamed in pain and were then silenced?, said Ami. No, I think Artemis just let one rip., said Mina. Oh Artemis!, said Lita fanning a magazine at him. (------------------------------------) Give us all your money you little jerk!, said a gruff voice. Sarinas attention buzzed her awake. She was in a stonework, back alleyway resting unseen on a crate with some tatty newspapers and colourful present wrap over her. Hunh? Where am I?, she wondered. Wiping the slobber from her face she stood up. Strangely as she came to, her awareness became instantly clear. Stretching upwards, her body didnt seem fatigued at all in fact, she began to feel like she could run a mile and then some. Sarina hunkered low, listening to the voices further down the narrow backstreet, something bizarre began to grip her senses. Smells of garbage, metal, even bad body cologne and strange physical scents seemed to waft into her awareness. Normally the smells were not something to notice often just a blur of sensations, but for some odd reason, each and every one was discernable. The more she thought about it, the more able she was to separate the differing scents, the clothing of the attackers smelt, their breath and breakfast, their shoes and socks, the poop that someone had walked in, even down to the pungent sewage vapours in the narrow drainway beyond. Then she realized something extraordinary. Without seeing them, Sarina understood that there were more than two persons in the alley, 3 attackers and one victim. Noticing as she drew in shallower breaths, each attacker had a strange and powerful pheromone-like odour that mixed poorly with clothing and body spray. Sarina could almost pinpoint who was dominating the speaking threats. Intrigued she snuck closer, but like before, somehow her senses where heightened, she carefully watched where and how she placed her feet, avoiding water and loose material. Skilfully she snuck further into the alley. Spying a sharp, triangular metal scrap, she clasped it wrapping the handle in a tissue to protect her hand. Inch by stealthy inch, she loomed closer. Neither making a sound nor moving out of place, Sarina moved like a predator. I said sh*t for brains, give me your money or you die here., said the gruff voice. Sarina didnt know what she was doing, she had no reason to be there, in fact it was very dangerous to be there, she knew it, but strangely, it didnt register. Something was suppressing every synapse and neuron of fear. Something else was changing. Sarina swished her tongue around in a salivating mouth. She had to take a moment for herself. The metal scrap was rested on a crate near. Sarinas hands pushed down upon her shoulders, glided over her breasts and slid along her defined stomach, her skin was warming and her body was felt like it was becoming a tightened elastic band. Wiping curled fingers along her palms and stretching them out, there was something irregular about their sensation. They felt too solid, too hard. Flexing them at extremity she looked at her glossy nails. It felt like they were growing, turning into bony claws but she could see no apparent change. They felt like tough metal, pulsing and throbbing at the end of her hands, they wanted to be pushed into something fleshy, soft, something she could tear open with savage abandon. As there was no bubble wrap handy Sarina automatically thought about the next best thing. The lone criminals in front of her. Sarina opened her mouth wide. The same swelling and throbbing in her fingers came to her teeth. It was a hungry, wound-up tension that began to ache like each tooth needed to be pressed into something. She grabbed at her jaw and pulled it down, relieving strain by clicking bones and cartilage. Sarina suddenly had the urge to bite into a juicy, ripe piece of tender steak. TEAR IT! flashed into Sarinas mind. Her tongue tasted the flavours of the flowing juices, she could see the glistening meat and her biting into it. Albeit except for one thing, the tasty animal in her imagination was still alive, and she was devouring it like a tigress. Sarina tried to rid herself of the image but the sensation of flavours kept washing into her famished mind. Splattered colour came to her instant visions. She imagined seeing a dull greyish, prey animal being savaged, its hide contrasted with the magnificence of luminous red. All the while being set upon by her furious self. And thats where something deep inside Sarina switched on. Sarinas body began to swell in lust. Heat flushed her cheeks and reddened her ears. Her mind immersed in visions of a viscous red liquid, a tepid hotness that was sensual and needed to be on her person. Blood!!!, thought Sarina. (------------------------------------) Several galactic parsecs away, Darkthorn glided a financial form to an eloquent pile of completed items. *A grave, ice ridden shiver traversed his spine for several moments * Eyes swelled and he held himself stiff. Something wrong?, said a alien fellow across the room. I... I just had this,... terrible feeling of foreboding., said Darkthorn. Oh?, said the fellow. ... Nevermind,... its my silly imagination..., said Darkthorn dismissively. A nervous tremor erupted once more, Darkthorn shook, Brrrr! (------------------------------------) Something inside of Sarina wanted to see hot blood. The imagery awakened in her mind and wouldnt leave. The striking colour red bursting from a taken animal. Her body was becoming electric, jumpy. She couldnt run away to safety, there seemed to be no need, instead she let this feeling of wanting hunger drive her to imagine its fulfilling pleasure. The longer she waited and listened the more exciting the sensations became. She felt stronger and more lithe with every millisecond, her senses were beaming and was if somehow, magical life was being poured directly into her veins. She had to get closer, her body could feel every element of its surroundings. The wet pinch from her underwears elastic to the cold stones at her feet, the small draughts of air at her hands and fingers to the strands of her hair cascading against her shoulders. Sarina couldnt help it, her jaw felt like it was in a vice, she kept stretching it wider, lengthening her neck and flaring her teeth, she clenched her eyes shut, but the metallic taste of blood began to well in her thoughts too. The hungered need kept throbbing inside. Liquid, hot red, she needed to see it again, to feel is fluid warmth and drive her angry fingernails into it. She scanned through a break in some nearby boxes, she slid her hand over to collect her metal scrap. She was meters away. Her limbs felt tight, alive, over-loaded with compressed super energy. The gruff speaker pushed a frightened skinny alien child backwards. To scared to speak and run, the others had cornered him. He would not live more than a few moments at their heightened level of aggravation, their blade weapons were perilously close to the child. Nostrils flared, her breathing became heavier. Sarina neatly skipped on her toes and twinged her arms and back, they were like tight suspension, bouncy and springy. Sarina beheld the environment, overhanging pipes and all manner of useful loose items. She saw the clothing on the aggressors and saw their exposed lower bodies. The leg artery at the back of the knee, she knew it, she sensed it. This is the fastest way to find the luscious blood. Sarina waited hunkering down like a silent leopard, there were 3 of them, a dangerous mix. The first two were easy, she picked her path, but the last one was impossible. He would be able to slash down or defend against her, she would be too exposed in the 3 meter wide alleyway. Then she saw and envisioned another attack, her mouth opened wide in a delighted smile but her jaw and teeth were aching with a painful need to bite. The small child skittishly moved but the heavy set one blocked his path. Sarina pounced. Sprinting and bounding for the opposite wall, she leapt high and then bounced off diving low back to the first side. She landed, squatting behind the largest villain who was confused at her speed and changing direction. Hu-?, said the heavyset alien. With his hind quarters exposed Sarina plunged her metal triangle into the squishy part of the knee join, instantly withdrawing it she struck into the next enemy standing close beside. Immediately both creatures flinched and buckled in unison. Then sliding her legs behind, she kicked against the back wall and piggybacked over the large collapsing alien, swamping the alien child in front. She grappled him, spun, hit the end wall and then thrust him hard into the 3rd aggressor. The alien boy bellowed as he was flung like a battering ram, he impacted onto the 3rd enemy who was barely able to shield himself from the surprise assault. The two fell over backwards and Sarina rushed at them both. The boy was incidentally cut by the aggressor but Sarina was already on top of them, she stabbed the knife into the side of the enemies throat and leapt away. She grabbed some boxes and then threw them at the wounded and recovering assailants. As they tried to defend Sarina stuck the triangle into hands, necks, legs and anything that was near. Screams wailed and Sarina kept the same pattern, throwing, striking, and leaping. Eventually she took a stray knife and proceeded to slash harder and more viciously at the enemies as they weakened. Blood burst into the air and the screaming was horrific. The small child, frightened, soiled and petrified lay pressed into the corner of the alley shivering, holding a cut arm and watching the terrifying show played out before him. And then when he couldnt bare to see anymore he saw the worst thing he had seen in his life. The strange alien girl was dissecting his assailants, cutting along limbs, severing throats and grasping her fingers and tearing out body parts like it was some angry, twisted hobby. She furiously tore them out and catapulted the pieces away. He closed his eyes and covered his face, she would be on to him next. ' Please! Please! Spare me!, he wished. There was blood everywhere, Sarina was covered in it, her clothes, body and hair was drenched and the warmth of it felt pleasing on her skin. She could smelt it but she couldnt bare to bring her jaw down to eat, something prevented her. It was yukky she knew, its taste would be foul. Instead her wide open mouth hissed in a low tone and fingers were pushed into each of the creatures heart cavities and their main life organ was ripped out. She sliced each up and lobbed the pieces far away. She saw the boy and blinked. She growled in a disturbing tone, Youd better run.n.n Not having to be asked twice the young child clawed for purchase against the stones on the ground, he clambered to stand and then leapt past the ever watching Sarina and sprinted for the only exit. Sarina squinted her eyes and smiled. Victory. Sarina was satisfied, but the warmth was leaving. She knew the vibrant red would soon loose its lustre promptly. Quickly she rolled over each of the alien bodies and then searched through their pockets, she grabbed their wallets and took anything that vaguely looked like money or credit cards. She cut off fingers and kept rings, poking everything she could take into her soggy red underwear. She cut off some clothing material and scooped up their weapons. Within moments Sarina was climbing up trees and hiding behind bushes travelling down alleys and staying out of site. (------------------------------------) Syntia decided to go back to the main entrance, she needed to know her that personal escape crafts were ready just in case. She had heard about the Bloodhounds and when they were on the case, things could get troublesome. Perhaps,, she thought, Maybe its time for holiday instead.. As she entered the main foyer she saw her pink feather fan lying where she had discarded it, but to her horror, vases had been smashed and several cushions from the first story had made their tragic fall to the shattered ground tiles. Broken pieces of wood which had once been chairs lay strewn about as well as light fittings and several communications devices. Down the stairway on the right deep gouging ran down the wall, and the carpeted stairs had been lifted and ruined. What the hell?!, said Syntia. Without a second thought she ran to a protective cupboard and instantly she was suited in personal armour. Now brandishing a powerful handgun and thin combat suit, Syntia ventured forth. Something crazys just happened here. Pressing buttons on a side wall she ran a house diagnostic, No signs of life beside me. As she ventured to the steps she saw the effort someone had gone to to remove a very heavy item and drag it away. Syntia went around corridors and into a private room, pressing a switch, monitors were exposed and her fingers in 3-dimensional space controlled them. Swinging her hands about she operated the forward, rewind, and play features of the in-house security cameras. And there it was, Sarina hiding and moving like a cat in the laboratory, pushing Syntia down and gliding her head into the central metal towers. Syntia clasped at her helmet, once more recalling the concussion. As she watched she was dumbfounded to see Sarinas ongoing movements. Like someone fighting a raging animal growing under their skin Sarina ran and fell, clawed at things and then violently struck out at anything in the way. She saw her travel down corridors and backtrack her way out. The skinny half naked girl was destroying anything loose and attacking it as she went. Certain things captured her attention for longer. Couches were tossed from the balcony, even vases, tables, toasters, pots, pans and autocookers. If it wasnt nailed down, it was viciously brutalized or driven into a wall. And then as she watched closer, something even more bizarre happened. My couch! Shes stealing my antique couch!!, said a stunned Syntia. As she watched on, Sarina clutched the long and elegant couch and dragged it like a broken prisoner down the steps. Its old wooden frame clattered down the stairs. The red and gold inlaid cushions bounced and rolled down to the bottom which were eventually scooped up and placed back on. Syntia watched on as an angry faced Sarina dragged with great effort the couch and pulled it into the elevator. The doors closed and she was gone. Unbelievable!, said Syntia. (------------------------------------) She remembered wanting to go to the hospital, but oddly enough, after the sleep, Sarina somehow felt incredibly better. The fight was taxing, but only in the sense that she felt hungry and her muscles strained. I need food., said Sarina who began to look closely at herself. The red and blackening blood over her body was starting to solidify. God dam how do I keep ending up like this!? She fumbled around in her collected booty and noticed some coin cards, and then Sarina remembered seeing people place these into vending machines. Oh crap, alien food, I wonder if Ill be able to handle it? With secretive intent, the barely dressed, blood matted and red stained Sarina snuck to a nearby and unnoticed food vending unit. Observing the menu she choose something that looked like a tasty chocolate bar, followed by some crunchy looking snacks, then some more lollies, then some jelly wobbles, then some orange bead savouries coated in pink, and hell, she just spent everything she had. Cradling the prizes Sarina headed back to an unseen area, where she proceeded to fill up on as much candy as she was able. That would be all of it. (------------------------------------) Syntia returned to the main foyer and beheld the devastation, "Holy freaking Space Monkeys, Sarina has become one disturbed ckickadee." Withdrawing an external communicator Syntia began to unclip her combat helmet to speak to Darkthorn once more. A bright light gleamed behind. "What?", said Syntia turning. A thin, highly intense beam of light spanned from the upper roof to the lower floor. It's white, blinding intensity forcing Syntia to shield her eyes. The vertical beam slowly began to swell in size, resembling a thick, wide cylinder of extreme radiation. "SHIT-T-T! I'M BEING LANCED! ! !", squealed Syntia as she dove out of the way, she scrambled towards the banister stairs. Her ears ached as frequencies of electrons and magnetic currents burned straight through the immense solid layers of roof above. Syntia turned to see if the lance was moving toward her. Her polarised helmet blackened instantly. Her suit was beginning to steam as the huge beam continued to bore it's way into her fortress. Syntia scrambled blindly to the steps and struggled for anything she could hold. She knew when she reset her security systems, the invader would have snuck through then. She was completely exposed. Syntia cried, she knew this was it, whomever it was had finally got her, she was going to be vaporized by a ship borne cannon, there was no defence. It was all over, she was going to die. Syntia wept as her suit burned from its proximity. The beam stopped. Silence. Dripping stonework, melted metal and items fell into the wide hole. Syntia stopped gasping and crying. She unclenched her eyes but the helmet visor was pitch black. Sweeping a hard glove over it she tried to clear the blackness away. Faintly, thin strips of light returned where she scratched. Sniffling, "Sh*t, I don't need this crap!" Syntia's glove couldn't clear the helmet properly so she fumbled in the dark for a piece of stair carpet. *KA-THUD* went a sound behind her. Syntia wiped and wiped and spun about. Through a blackened scratched pane of fibre-plas she saw an outline of a creatures gigantic fist. *WHAM!!!* *Blackness* (------------------------------------) It was a tasty treat. The chocolates, candies and savoury snacks from Sarinas horde delighted her. Within seconds she forgot how unkempt she was squatting down in a small abandoned grassy patch in the urban cityscape. A huge grin overlaid on her face as she gorged and munched in the wonderful sunshine. Bliss. That was until, Errr, excuse me there, um, thing?, said a curious voice. Sarina froze mid snack. Um, you err dropped this., said the voice. Sarinas heart faltered, slowly she turned about to see who was beside her. OH! Oh, I mean, err youre not, um, Dinisian. Sorry, I guessed you werent, but I wasnt sure., said the alien being who vaguely resembled a human in appearance, all except for his mottled grey brown skin and lack of hair. His facial features made Sarina stare. Um, I dont think Ive seen your species before., said the teenage alien who blinked unusually formed, solid, glossy black eyes. He looked like the others. Mmmph, said Sarina removing a chocolate bar from her mouth. I err, was just passing through. Here, you dropped your card., said the young male handing it to her. With a nervous smile Sarina accepted the card and poked it into her blood soaked underwear bottoms, Uh,.. thanks. Sarina felt completely and utterly awkward, she was covered head to foot in drying blood and wearing only two of the barest undergarments. Assigning herself to the ludicrousness of the moment, she handed an unopened candy bar to the friendly alien in thanks. The young male who became more comfortable standing in front of the red covered alien girl felt more assured by her pleasant demeanour, he accepted the bar with enthusiasm. Wow, you know, youre my first contact with an off-worlder., he said breaking it open. We absolutely never get any visitors out here. The teenager poked the candy into his mouth chomping and speaking, We only get to see you guys on tv or the uglies at the ports, our planet is just too far away from anything to have any spunky visitors... I mean, you know, like the ones who look like us, not those creatures that look like blobs of fat. Sarina smiled, somehow, today was beginning to not look like a total tragedy. She preened her hair and her fingers were caught in the stickyness of the coagulated blood. Sarina enjoying the candid talk decided to enquire as she ate, My appearance doesnt frighten you? No way! Not in the slightest! I thought your red skin was a bit spooky, but my mum always said never judge a rock by its moss., he said. Now that I look at it, your skin kind of looks like blood, wettish, sort of. Oh, uh, yeah,... Im shedding,... a bit., said Sarina. Say, do you want to go to the shopping mall? Id really like to show you to my friends, itd be really cool!, said the young male. I can get you some more of those., he said pointing to her snacks. Um, well, I shouldnt be, err, said Sarina. Nah, come on, you know, to us you are look pretty bare, Im sure my sister can loan you some clothes or something. Oh, gee, youve got no shoes. They are really comfortable, stop your feet getting hurt. Do you have shoes where you are from?, he said. Sarina grimaced as she still wanted to keep a low profile, especially after the last few minutes. Com-m-m-e on, itll be ok, no need to be shy, the mall is over by the space port, apparently Ive just heard there is a huge new white ship that landed there, no ones answering and no ones coming out. I wanted to go see it for myself., said the alien. Ship? White ship, pointy., said Sarina in quiet reflection to herself. You know it?, said the boy. I, ah, think I do., said Sarina. Flashbacks came to her, Yes, its Beryls, I have to get back there., OK, you can take me. Cool! Come on then., he said in high spirits. He helped Sarina collect her stray candies and the pair walked in the direction to the mall, fortunately it was the main centre of attention in the township, and luckily it was in the opposite direction of the brutal slaying. As they walked Sarinas wet underwear bottoms slopped around and her bare backside wiggled freely, she groped and pulled them up. Geez I have to do something about this. (------------------------------------) The young Alien male who introduced himself as Barkqudan and his nick name Barky, took Sarina into the varied but fundamentally familiar domain of the shopping mall. It was a veritable clone of any market in any downtown earth city. From the cute and curious small creatures sold as pets and all manner of household items, sundry goods and fast food delights. Sarina found herself automatically guessing the resembling franchise stores from home. As she entered the complex walking alongside Barky, people took short glances and then stared as minds clicked over. Barky was proudly strutting, illustrating to Sarina where you could buy the most ordinary of things and find poignant bargains. Louder than what Sarina believed to be normal, she quickly gathered that Barky felt some kind of elation at his new found guide role. She smiled and knew it was the perfect distraction to blend in. The onlookers were initially stunned at her appearance, covered head to toe in red and brown wet paint, or so they believed, and dressed in the most minimal of clothing, but with the courteous appearance of Barky, fears were instantly allayed. Children pointed and adults stood like stunned fish. Teenagers the universe over just went, Dude! Would you look at that!, Is that Barky with an alien?, Is that a chick or a dude!? Smile and wave, thats all I need to do., she thought giving obligatory gestures, her sagging underwear was not helping her one bit. Shoes!, spied Sarina. Yes, they are Shoes, said Barky, I can show you how to wear them if you like. Sarina picked out some cute pink lace-up sneakers with small floppy bunny ears hanging over the top. In childish fashion white and pink beads were wrapped around the ankles. She shook them and little bells clinked. Yewy! Sooo Qute! Sitting on the floor, Sarina prepared to put them on. Like a psionic hawk, the shop attendant swooped over to observe. Sarinas red skin and sticky appearance made her think twice. She stopped short knowing the blood would cover and stain them terribly. She stood up and fumbled around her underwear, squireling out one of the criminals nondescript cards she handed it to the clerk. Claiming it with a tissue the shop clerk took the bloodied card and wondered at his sparkling fresh, digital reader. Instead, wiping the tissue along the card, it revealed an array of numbers which were then typed onto a small keypad. *Bl-Bleep* went a reassuring sound. The clerk nodded to Sarina who had already issued her-self with some pink socks. *Bleep* Oh that towel there too! No I mean the um, actually better make it the red one. *Bleep* And those glasses. *Bleep* And that handbag, the shoulder strap one *Bleep* Thats it. No wait, these too., said Sarina clutching the candies on the front counter. *Bleep* And some for him., said Sarina. Thanks!, said Barky. *Bleep Ping* No problem., smiled Sarina. Sarina put on her small pink socks, her bunny eared shoes, wrapped herself in her red towel, donned her glasses, slung the handbag over her shoulder and poked in the cards and candies. Barky, can you show where I can um, you know, cover up below. Sure., said Barky, his face turned shades of purple. While mall shopping was one of Sarinas favourite pastimes, intergalactic mall shopping was becoming the ultimate. As she was covered up, somewhat more respectfully, confidence seemed to bristle. A smile appeared on her face and the distinct feeling of relaxation set in. You know, this is actually kind of fun., she thought. A short time later, Sarina had lost her underwear, its moisture logged girth now several sizes too large. She was currently in a girls shop pulling up some space cotton undies in her size. The coolness of new fabric slipped onto bare skin, the firm fit and comfort that only the right underwear could provide, Oh thank heaven!, said Sarina loudly. Slipping on a bra, Sarina felt overwhelming relief as everything felt as though it was back in place. Wrapping herself back in her makeshift towel, she headed out the door when suddenly a news report on the store monitor caught her attention. Three hours ago, on the Patil Nui Maudan homeworld, the entire civilization was obliterated by an unknown assailant. Reports just in suggest,, wait we are receiving images, said the newscaster. As Sarina watched she saw a gigantic atomic cloud rip through earth and hill, then the most horrifying images of an entire surface of a planet being blasted to a baking ball of heat by tremendous and overwhelming nuclear explosions. Oh my god!, said an onlooker. I thought all nuclear devices were banned?, said another. How can they wipe out everybody? Everybody!, said the shopkeep. Sarina had no idea whether this was a usual thing in space, but she felt as unnerved by it like everyone else. Paying for the items she asked Barky to show her to a suitable clothing shop. The mood of the people became instantly sombre, its not that nuclear death was completely unheard of, it was the sheer savagery of the attack on the little known world. People felt ill watching it, knowing that whomever did it, surely was hell bent on extraordinary vengeance. An entire world rendered lifeless and useless, they believed. Sarina and Barky discussed it as they headed to a girls clothing store. Sarinas heart skipped a beat, she suddenly halted. An overpowering dread filled her as she gazed down the mall way. Oh shit , said Sarina at a whisper with panic edging her voice, Barky, show me to the ship. I have to go see it, I have to go now. But-, said Barky. No butts, - right now ., said Sarina intently. Just in front of her was a small child cradling a bandaged arm speaking to what appeared to be his family and several officers. Sarina stepped backwards. The odd silence made the family and officers look in over to her direction, including the boy. Sarina snatched Barkys arm, he was then yanked hard as she sprinted away from the group. Thats the creature!, said a shrilling voice behind. Sarina held Barkys arm in a death grip, The ship, now! Barky half running and half dragged by the supremely fast girl caught glimpses of digital signs as they went, Dyntar Street, its just outside. Go Left!! Loud foot falls clambered close behind, Stop!, yelled loud voices. The pair swung around the corner, Sarinas shoes squeaked loudly on the shiny floor. Youre not in any kind of trouble are you?, said a panting Barky. Sarina puffed a reply, Um, well, I did just rescue that boy. But thats not a crime., said Barky. It will be when they find out how I did it., said Sarina. Oh?, wondered Barky. The guards were agile, Sarinas large towel wrapping was hindering her progress. They were meters behind. Turning the last corner and exiting the complex they ran into the sunshine. There was Queen Beryls ship, past the parking areas and in the back alleyways, curiously it had landed perfectly between some old empty buildings. A swelling crowd of people had gathered around and a city official dressed in a ceremonial outfit holding a megaphone stood at a tall podium. Camera crews had setup and news teams were sprouting from everywhere. Party balloons and mobile food vendors were selling their wares to onlooking parents and children, a carnival feeling was enveloping the day. Sarina ploughed into the loose crowd at the fringes, pushing and pulling between shoulders and sides. Barky ran in close pursuit. The guards ran just behind them. As she neared the craft a hush enveloped the crowd, for the ships bow began to lower its foreword platform. All attention was upon it and it alone. The dignitary spoke over the megaphone, Greetings and Welcome Intergalactic Visitor! We invite you to visit our fair city of Lynanti. Where you can fin- Sarina burst through the final barricade and hurdled over the makeshift barrier. Her towel slipped away and she sprinted for the gangplank. Hey your towel!, said Barky scooping it up. He was swarmed by the guards who then just as quickly abandoned him. Keep it! See ya!, said Sarina slapping a button on the ships hull. She waved to the crowd. The plank raised up into the ship and those around stopped and watched. Each Dinisian waved to her. All except for the guards. The dignitary having realised his mistake in having spoken to an empty vessel for the entire day tried to salvage his credibility, Um, er, thank you for visiting us red alien? Yes, and, please visit us again! Her name is Sarina!, yelled barky, adding with a whisper, Shes cool. Within moments the ship silently ascended to the heavens. Sarina went to the foredeck, where she was confronted with a very odd site. Repair bots were busily working over damaged screens, seats and monitors. Smashed panels, metal fragments and half destroyed components hung out of wall sockets. Curiously, in the middle of the room, there was a battered red antique couch thrust up against the command chair, part of its smashed frame and torn cushions were splayed over the cabin. What the hell?, said Sarina dropping her hand bag. (------------------------------------) Deep inside the largest law enforcement centre in the known universe, a dimly lit, back room held several officials. They were piecing together the recent devastating attacks on a protected planet at Patil Nui Mauda. Sir, I think you should see this., said an official, Its been collected from the retrieved camera, the one which filmed the nuclear explosion on the ground. What about it?, said the alien officer. Weve found DNA traces on its container., said the first. The commander went to a dark screen and found the two ribbons of information being addressed, Holy,.. Gesus,.. f*cking Chirst from the ninth Hell in Neverland. This is a joke isn't it?! Tell me its a joke. No sir, thats what we found. (------------------------------------) Darkthorn!, yelled a large alien careening through the tent doorway. Papers scattered as nervous hands trembled from the sudden fright. Darkthorn collected his angry words. Darkthorn!, said the large alien again. What!, grumbled Darkthorn. Weve just heard!, said the alien. What! For godsake!, said Darkthorn. Theyve just scrambled ENTIRE UU fleet! Darkthorn looked perplexed. Do you think its because of the nuclear obliteration of Patil?, said the alien. No, They would have mobilized a small contingent and set out after them with SpyNet This is something a lot bigger. (Close) (Insert Sailor Moon music credit theme here.) *(UU means United Universe) Hope no one got tooooo freaked out by this.... Changed my style yet again.. Found a neat little trick with sentence construction, going to use it a lot more now, makes things easier to read. |

sweet girls can be psychos...
I used to be swordbunny4486.
Whoa-oh! How unexpected! Very cool my friend, very cool indeed. You've definitely 'implanted' some seeds that will probably grow into a juicy plot twist later on, yes? Sink those hooks, not that I need 'em personally

Humorous real world newspaper headlines:

- IS THERE A RING OF DEBRIS AROUND URANUS?
- PATIENT AT DEATH'S DOOR - DOCTORS PULL HIM THROUGH
+ more to come!
So tell me, how did the sentence structure read this time? It's my great failing.
As far as I have noticed, there is only one real part where I think it could be seen as a problem - and that is what I call "exclamation moments". Basically this is when pretty much any character goes something like "OH CRAP, THIS IS REALLY BAD! *states something really obvious usually* and then you move on into it. I think at these times you need to be direct, yes, but not quite so over the top or 'directly playing up the shock', if you know what I mean. A touch of subtlety, but leaving no doubt as to what is going on, you know? That's what I was thinking anyway - you might think different but it mildly breaks the flow when I read it. Besides this, I haven't noticed any real issues in there.

This one has "site" instead of "sight" in a few places. One of the dangers of spell check

You don't call someone a "Mad Scientist" because he is angry all of the time. And if I am off of my medications....
