Hi all, welcome, this is the most intricate part yet, again, starts off slow, but then… Hee Hee… HERE COMES ADVENTURE!!! Ever wanted to know about Serenity the Apocalypse, Sarina's mother? Well, you won’t be disappointed… This mad adventure just became HUGE!!! ENJOY!!!

Sarina woke up.

She was comfortably curled up in a fur blanket and laying upon a large fluffy bed. Sore and strained, she tried to stretch her limbs which eased their stiffness.

Sarina recalled her last waking memories, she had been in a fight, she had won and the last thing she remembered was being carried away by Vorgorath. Sniffing the air, she could smell freshly cooked food and it smelt fantastic.

Sarina groaned as she rolled over to her side and looked out across the bed. Rubbing her blurry eyes she could make out that she was inside a gold lit, long tent that hung with drapery and shimmering white material walls. The semi darkened expanse had a candle-lit ambience which illuminated the white fabric in pale yellows and golds. Like a lucid dream a scented misty-ness filled the air, making it resemble soft clouds on a heavenly, morning. Gold trace weaves in the form of rays and ripples covered the curtains and every so often they caught a draught and the fabrics wavered and flecked the light in thin sparkling beams.

To one side of the room it offered a long elegant table laden with many varieties of food and drink, some looked reasonably familiar while others did not, and in the middle was a small sign with hand written letters scribed upon it saying, ‘Eat’.

Sarina didn’t have to be asked twice, peeling off the fur blanket she wriggled her way off the long bed and went quickly to the table.

Sarina hungrily groped and sniffed at the luscious assortment of food. She pushed it wildly into her mouth and ravenously she ate like she hadn’t eaten in years. Little tomato-like cheesy savories, meaty puffs, garlicky spicy rolls, and things she couldn’t place. Everything was dainty, small and delicious. She didn’t care how she looked while eating, she never did, it all tasted wonderful, force feeding was the supreme order of the day.

“Mmmm!”, said Sarina. *Munch* *Munch, shovel* “MeerrreahhhMuuumm” *Munch*. About 5 minutes later Sarina couldn’t eat any further, she was overfull, merry and her stomach was swollen in fullness.

Sarina flomped onto the white tiled floor and noticed her hands and legs first and with equal shock noted her absence of clothing. She twisted her arms over and looked down at her chest, she was covered in brown paint which smelt of burn iron. Sarina stood up and looked over herself.

“Oh God! What the hell!?, What is thi-….. oh-h-hh, that’s righ-t-t-t,,, yeah-h-h,,, now I remember…….Heh heh.”, said Sarina. Heading spritely back to the bed Sarina collected her fur blanket and wrapped herself to hide her nudity.

“God dam, how could I miss that too! Gees I hope no one saw.”

Sarina looked at her arms and legs again, “Man, how am I going to get this stuff off?”

Sarina relaxed and looked over the room. The misty air drew her attention. To the center of the long tent was a body of water in which thin clouds of condensation slowly wafted away from the surface. Thoughtfully someone had anticipated her needs and at the top stair of the pool lay another sign, ‘Bathe’ was inscribed upon it.

Sarina made her way over and stepped down to the last dry step. Sliding out a foot and poking her big toe into the water to test it she received a shocking surprise. As it entered the water, her toe sizzled and bubbled like it was sitting in soda water or lemonade. “Sh*t! What the frak is that!?”, said Sarina withdrawing and hurriedly inspecting herself. Remarkably her dirty foot now had a relatively clean big toe.

Running through her head, the water wasn’t cold or hot, it was just right, ‘but fizzy’, thought Sarina.

Nervously, with great care she placed her toe into the water once more. Again it fizzled, bubbled and tickled, but after a time the bubbling slowed and then eventually ceased. Sarina then withdrew casually and looked to her toe. It was sparkling clean, she could see a clear definition between dirt and skin. “Obviously..”, thought Sarina sarcastically, “-this is how one bathes outer space.”
Sarina then looked about the dimly lit space in case anyone could see her. The room was quiet and serene and she guessed no one was going to interrupt, she let her fur blanket fall and put it neatly aside. Daintily stepping into the water Sarina covered her chest and below and pursed her lips tightly as the tingling, sensation bubbled away upon her feet. Shuffling them along she proceeded further into the long pool, Sarina bit her lip and blinked her eyes tightly as she waded. The pool fizzed and bubbled like a ferocious soft drink being tipped onto a hot stove. The water felt pleasing but Sarina could only just bare the tickling sensation, especially as it was now up to her inner thighs. Taking a deep breath and holding it Sarina dropped into the pool and went fully underwater.

The warm water fizzed in her ears and sounded like a loud army of buzzing of bees, her eyelids felt as if touched by feathers and her nose felt like she was going to sneeze. Sarina didn’t know whether to cover her privates or cover her head. Everything tickled outrageously in the water. Sarina clenched her teeth and held on, but as she sat there slowly the fizzing began to subside. Sarina needing air stood up and raised herself out, the water was sizzling away at the dirt and grime which was running off in torrents about her. Her arms were nearly spotless as the brown blood dribbled away.

“Goddam express wash!”, said Sarina marveling at the effect. Millions of tiny bubbles gathered about her legs and she knew had ever experienced anything like it. Still a way to go to be thoroughly clean Sarina tentatively waded to the deep areas of the pool. She swam in the fizzy warm water until no more bubbles appeared.

Paddling away and enjoying herself she scrubbed every once in a while to feel the sensations on her skin and scalp. Eventually she thought she was clean enough and had had enough fun duck diving at the deep end so Sarina headed back to the steps. From careful placement she saw behind and to the left of her bed another sign with words, ‘Clothes’.

A wide smile appeared on her face, this felt like a holiday, exotic food, luxurious bathing and supplied clothing. She was being pampered thought Sarina, “I like it!.... No!.. I love it!”

Making her way out of the water, she wondered where a towel would be so she could wipe herself down, but as she skipped over to the clothing area the liquid on her skin vapourized to mist. As she went she dried off, checking her hair, it was still wet but amazingly clean.

Spying an assortment of clothes laid out on the table, Sarina was disappointingly not spoiled for choice. She saw that all of the items had been donated by the locals. In comparison to her small stature, they looked like king size sheets with holes. She lifted up one after the other, most had been cut to her size, but then she spotted one that she couldn’t let go of.

The fabric was delicate and soft, as she picked it up it shimmered in the light, the material seemed almost as if it was made of the air itself. Light, beautiful to touch and behold it caught the rays about it and gleamed in diamond like radiance. Sarina had never seen or felt anything like it before. She tugged carefully at the fabric to see if it was frail. To her delight, it was tough and resilient. Around the long ‘V’ neck collar and back was small alien writing glimmering in the light. Sarina thought it was the most beautiful veil-like material she had ever seen.

Pulling it over herself it’s silky softness wrapped around her slender figure, she lifted up the collar and smelt the fine fabric, it was perfumed too. Strangely, the scent seemed familiar, she felt as though it was made just for her. But more than anything something made Sarina feel happy, something she couldn’t place, warmth, friendliness, it was somehow recognizable, ‘it’s like, something….like….’ the words were caught on the tip of her tongue but the final expression eluded her.

Sarina closed her eyes and embraced herself, ‘This fabric….’ She wondered, ‘there’s something about it…Something that’s me…’

Sarina ran her fingers over it’s silken texture. ‘Something familiar…’, ‘… Vorgorath…. Why do I know-….’, like quicksilver through fingers the memories escaped Sarina’s mind. Somehow, there was a puzzle here, but to what, where or how. There was a distinctive feeling of Déjà vu.

‘Bing’, came a gentle noise from another room.

Sarina dressed in the long flowing gown and looked for anything that could pass as underwear. Sadly, not one of the oversized locals had anything that was suitable. Equally regretful, her clothes were shredded from the fight.

She pressed the fabric against her skin, it wasn’t see-through and it was a long dress, so it would do by itself in a pinch. “Take nothing with you! What the hell was Beryl thinking! She could have at least said pack the essentials.”

Sarina went to the other room to locate the noise. She saw a small table with a clock upon it, around the room was a hanging area, trinkets, chests, clothing, weapons, photographs and personal effects of one of the locals. She spied a lit open door way at the other end and headed to it.

As she entered, Vorgorath and several aliens were sitting about talking softly so as not to disturb.

“Oh bless me!”, said Vorgorath, “You are awake. Fed and clean no doubt.”

“Yes. Rather well.”, said Sarina patting her stomach.

“Thank you greatly.”

“Shall we leave?”, asked a local politely to Vorgorath.

“No,no. You stay. Sarina, let’s go for a walk. It’s a perfect night out.”, said Vorgorath. “I’m certain you have questions.”

Sarina nodded but then asked, “Night? But I’ve only been asleep for… for… How long was I asleep?”

“6 Earth hours.”, offered a local.

“The days are short on this planet.”, said another.

“Ohhh.”, said Sarina who was then led outside into a star filled night.

Vorgorath collected a bundle of manufactured wood and the pair headed out into the night and away from the camp.

Sarina looked in awe at the scene-scape. Looming large across the sky, a bright array of nearby stars accented against the deep black of night. There were no clouds so it made the ground visible and easy to traverse. When she looked upwards it felt like the whole planet was at the edge of a gigantic, spectacular window, it seemed as though one had but to open it and fall toward the stars.
After a walk and well away from the camp Vorgorath unbundled the wood and made a suitable fire near some rocks.

Sarina wasn’t cold, this planet seemed to take all day to heat up and be a sultry and humid evening.

Sarina knelt on a rock while Vorgorath sat propped up against a boulder.

Vorgorath spoke, “Sarina, today…”

“Yes I know, I couldn’t help myself. Something took over me and I couldn’t stop. I didn’t mean to-“, said Sarina.

“Relax, it’s ok. I’m glad we got to see the real you!”, said a delighted Vorgorath.

“The real me?”, asked Sarina.
Vorgorath nodded.

“But I’ve always been, , a crybaby and well, wussy. I don’t get how I could be something else? I mean, angry yes but never like it was today. And something new, I’ve been swearing, like all the time! I never swear!..... “, said Sarina, “…..I’ve gone crazy, that’s it, isn’t it…I’ve gone nuts! That would just make Rae’s year…”

“Impossible.”, said Vorgorath politely. “You look fine to me, your behavior was exceptional, a little more than I had expected but it was identical to your family’s bloodline.”

Comforted by those words Sarina pressed on, “But Vorgorath, I’ve changed. I’m not like I was, I’m different. Something has happened…. I don’t think I’ve ever been as angry in my life as I was the other day. I killed a monster with my bare hands, and then today like it was nothing.”
Vorgorath spoke introspectively, “Sarina, you did something – amazing. And your state, you think you have changed, but more accurately, you’ve become what you’ve always been.”, said Vorgorath.

“What do you mean?”, asked Sarina.

“Do you remember how I said your conditioning had a lot to do with it, and how you broke it to become like the real you.”, said Vorgorath.

“Yes, but, I don’t understand, if I was always this way, why did my mother and my father try to suppress it in me?… Why would she make me-”, said Sarina as a tiny tear collected in her eye, “-such a girly wuss?”

“Sarina, perhaps it’s time I spoke about Serenity, your birth mother.”, said Vorgorath.

Sarina nodded and wiped her eye dry.

“Your mother was a very driven and complex young lady, but she was always searching, looking for something, to the extent of, I could not fathom. When she grew up she was often very lonely, this was due to her emotional extremism and her hard line personality. Despite her humanly-attractive appearance, most suitors left her alone. She was too tough to deal with, too demanding and a noble renegade. When she grew up, she studied gem based technology and their energy ramps. She was very intelligent but was often lazy when it came to studying things that didn’t interest her. Gem crystal technology was an archaic, physics science, something used hundreds of thousands of millennia ago by races we know nothing about. That interested her greatly, she had a fascination with unearthing finds on new planets and studying them in depth.”

“Like an archaeologist?”, offered Sarina.

“Yes, just like that.”, said Vorgorath, ”She spent many years travelling alone and researching ruins by herself. Her parents didn’t really care because she would always contact them every once in a while. I’m pretty sure she was indifferent to them because of her fiery, virtuous and explosive nature. They were happy that she kept herself busy and far away from their ‘self-important’ socialite friends at least. Anyway, years went by and she became quite a notable scientist in her field. For she had made a discovery which had laid dormant since their initial finding. Gem technology, now moved on from a useless pretty item to functioning material when she discovered how to activate them. By holding and operating them she could show how they could affect things around her. She was able to push items across tables, or start a tiny fire with another type. Most dismissed it as an ancient’s party trick designed to entertain dinner guests. So Serenity was ridiculed for making such a discovery. I think that hurt her spirit greatly, but it in the end it only fueled her determination to study them deeper and uncover their hidden secrets to prove that it wasn’t a foolish science. In all that, about the only person who could tolerate your mother was Beryl.”

“Queen Beryl was my mother’s friend?”, asked Sarina.

“Yes, for a time, Beryl was in effect a lot like your mother, but generally kept her soft side hidden. The two of them hit it off, in boyfriend-less misery the pair were good pals. Beryl and Serenity often worked together in new places to keep each other company, but Beryl wasn’t really interested in gems that could start a campfire or move a toothbrush closer to you. She always wanted to marry into a House of Dominance. One of the major galactic arms of power. Beryl always thought she had the power of speech and conduct and felt wasted out in the mud and rubble that your mother enjoyed. This is where things start to get a little tricky. One day, nearby, upon the same planet your mother was working on, as the locals were blasting rock for the mines, several of them found a face etched into the mountainside. Some thought it was just a freak occurrence, others believed it to be divine, some thought it was a devil trapped in stone. Several archaic gems were found laying about too. So your mother was called over to investigate. She had no heavy rock cutting tools and this planet was too far away from the major comms channels to warrant financial support. Regretfully, the miners were not going to stop and she could do nothing. She took photographs and the 3d surveys show that there was an entire and complete body trapped in the rock. Oddly, it’s body was the same material, yet somehow it was undamaged from the explosives. A few days later as respect for Serenity to collect what data she could, the miners continued their blasting. Serenity watched on as charges were placed in the wall and it was blown to smithereens.”

“What happened to the thing in the wall?”, asked Sarina.

“Strangely, it survived, not a scratch or a dent, but most of it was still bound into rubble. It looked like a statue that was still being carved. Anyway, Serenity purchased all of the gems she found, fortunately the archaic gems had no inherent value, they weren’t tough, pretty or useful like diamonds and sapphires. Later the locals managed to take the large statue back to her camp via a transport and left it for her to study. It was here that Serenity made her most amazing discoveries to date. Spending countless days probing and testing the statue with her own tools and some of the gems, something happened.”, said Vorgorath.

“What happened?”, said Sarina.

“She used a trans-amplification, listening gem. The rock creature spoke to her.”

“A rock spoke to her?”, said Sarina.

“Yes. From here most of the written data is lost, but I will tell you what I know. Yes the rock spoke when she talked to it via the gems. Serenity guessed that she may have found a creature related to the existence of the ancient gems. It was quite a miraculous discovery. Weeks went by, the creature couldn’t recall anything useful, in fact it learnt from Serenity’s influence, but fortunately for her, the creature was able to sense a gems effect when she used it. The two worked together like a partnership. This went on for many months, approximately a full year. She would try and test gems and the creature would indicate how he felt or reacted to it. The creature was blind and could see nothing but her voice and persistence brought the creature joy. They became friends and conversed at length, she shared her secrets and wishes and he felt compelled to help. One day, boldly, she decided to test again one of the twelve green gems that were initially found with the rock being. And that’s where everything changed.”, said Vorgorath.

“What happened!”, said Sarina.

“ ‘I can see you.’, said the creature to Serenity. Serenity was shocked, she asked if it could see anything else around the room, but it could not. He described her, blonde hair, skinny body, pink skin and clothing, he then went into detail about what else he saw so as to show it wasn’t just a false memory. Serenity was stunned, but could not understand why he could only see her. She tried further things, but the creature said it seemed like an energy gate, he could sense it working one way but could see it trapped in the other. ‘Can you open it?’, asked Serenity. The creature tried and the miracle happened.”

“What?!”, asked a entranced Sarina.”

“Her mind exploded in information and vision, it seems the gems welded into her mind partial knowledge of the gateway and how to activate it. It was at that point Serenity saw the creature floating in blackness completely alone and trapped.”, said Vorgorath.

“Then what happened, what did he look like?”, said Sarina.

“She led the creature beyond the oblivion gate and showed him how she got there. The creature returned to his body. And what he looked like,,, well,,” said Vorograth.

“YOU!”, yelled Sarina. “It was you! Wasn’t it!”, said Sarina.

Vorgorath nodded, “Yes, it was me. Sarina, your mother rescued me from a diabolic curse.”

“WOW!”, said Sarina. “But then what happened? How did you come to life and move and stuff?”

“That was the easy bit, I simply moved. The remaining rock shed and splintered away and I was free. I knelt before your mother and she hugged me. She cried a lot that day, but she was very happy.”, said Vorgorath.

“But then what happened? How did you two end up being an item?”, asked Sarina.

“Well, that didn’t happen initially. At first we stayed and worked as partners unlocking the secrets of the gems. The gateway ‘spell’ gave her an insight on how to conduct her research thereafter. As we worked she talked about the realms, worlds and the galaxies in more depth, it fascinated me. One day she decided she would walk into town so I could see it, but she thought the locals might get scared if they saw me as a living walking rock monster.”, said Vorograth.

“What did you do?”, asked Sarina.

“She made me pretend to be a robot, you know, swing my arms forward and backward, move like a machine would, speak like I had no personality.”, said Vorgorath.

“Did they buy it? Anyone get scared?”, said Sarina.

“They bought it! It was great! He-e-l-l-oo S-i-i-r, He-e-l-l-oo M-a-a-m. Beeeeep.”, chuckled Vorgorath. “She walked me around the whole town and everyone had a look. Some of the kids wanted to ride on my shoulders, so she ‘ordered the robot’ to do it.”, Vorgorath winked. “Even the miners stopped to come and have a look, the universe’s first rubble robot. Serenity said to everybody, ‘He’s a learning robot, so he will be smarter tomorrow and he will be able to do more things.’ “

Sarina in an open mouthed smile just listened in delight.

“From then on, I was able to pretend to be a little more human-like each day and the locals were not afraid. In fact they loved having me about which gave me great joy.”, said Vorgorath. But with a sigh he continued, “Sadly, I enjoyed it immensely. And your mother knew it. Her studies didn’t require my input as much anymore, and she saw how much I just wanted to be out amongst the people and the star systems. I really wished I could see everything. Your mother didn’t ‘keep’ me, although in retrospect sometimes I wish she had. She enticed me to expand my horizons and follow my heart. And with her help I got a job and worked day shifts at the mines. They no longer needed explosives to blast the rock, I simply smashed it with my fists and crushed the boulders between my hands and arms. Production increased ten fold. We all made a lot of money. I tried to give some to Serenity for helping me live, but she wouldn’t accept it. So one day I went to a new site outside town and started a new mine, I worked on everyone’s day off and at night time. It was beyond any jurisdiction, as was the entire planet, so whatever I found was mine to keep. I dug for months, I ended up with one of the largest diamond and mineral hauls ever. From that point, with planet trading I was able to deposit large sums of money into Serenity’s accounts. I was going to make sure she was well off and her research continued as she wanted it to.”

“How much did you give her?”, asked Sarina.

“Well, she would have been able to buy 20 super star freighters with their worth today, the b-i-i-i-i-g ones. That’s quite an amount. She would have been able to afford her own minor planet or buy into something. Hardly any of the Star Princesses have that much available cash.”, said Vorgorath. “Anyway, time went by and I left, everyone was happy and sad to see me go. Serenity was accepted into that little community as they were all well off and could afford the life they wanted. No one had to work the mines anymore as they could now afford the machinery to do it for them. Life was peaceful. Serenity didn’t know she was a trillionairess either, so the community helped her out, they gave her things she needed and kept her well fed. Her studies went in leaps and bounds since the discovery. They said she was able to do magic. She could shatter rock, levitate mining equipment and even control wild animals. It seems her discoveries had attracted ‘others’ too. One day apparently when Beryl and her new boyfriend showed up, he stole and photographed part of her research. In secret, word got around the galaxies that gem power was no longer a trivial party trick. Some believed it to be a new physics science while others proclaimed it could be another conquesting power source and planetary submission tool. Sadly, over the following years gems became coveted and a weapon of the greedy evil.”

“Ohhh…”, said Sarina.

“Yes, unknown to her and me. Those wicked became knowledgeable on their own, but none could match Serenity’s power of observation and insight. She was learning at a geometric rate. Meanwhile I travelled the universe, I became a tourist and a wanderer. I spent years travelling about and seeing the sights. But like Serenity a loneliness grew inside me too. I settled down for a bit and companioned with a beautiful alien woman who felt as I do. Obviously I don’t make the best partner in the world, but such is life. I don’t know if Serenity’s emotions influenced me when she woke me, or if something else happened that day, but I couldn’t stop helping those around me. My girlfriend became frustrated over the years and it was hard. The settled life wasn’t for me. I realized that the electronic physicality of a pseudo closeness wasn’t supportive to that species. Fun as it was, digital stimu-porn, as you say ‘didn’t float her boat.’ We left when we realized the relationship had no merit for either of us.”, said Vorgorath with a sigh.

Vorgorath continued, “Anyway, I always kept thinking about your mother. How she first found me, in that dream state, my real body, how she touched my skin and how it felt. Her fingers around my arm and then her hands holding mine as she lifted me away. I admire your species for that ability, to touch and to feel. To have softness… Years later, the time came. I wanted to see Serenity once more and find out how she was doing, I also felt that she might be able to help me perhaps, escape this body. However when I returned your mother had left. The little community had grown prosperous and they didn’t know where she had gone. All her research had vanished with her. The only thing I had in connection with her was her bank account details. Normally, the banks won’t disclose any transaction records of their patrons in case they are traced, but they knew me and knew how much I deposited last time. They were happy to see me and I made up a story that I want to deposit another large sum, ten times the size of the last. You couldn’t imagine how quickly they ran to help me. I asked ‘Before I do this transaction I want to make sure Serenity is ok, are you able to tell me if she has spent any of her last deposited amount?’ The bank staff brought up her information and confused, they saw only one action. I asked, ‘Is she ok? She hasn’t spent it all has she?’ The accountant said, ‘No, she, er has made only one transaction.’ I asked, ‘What was that?’. The accountant said, ‘She purchased, a burger at the Rock Bar at Gamma Thaeda, three years ago, it totaled $2.50.’ I asked, ‘Is that a local place on the Cenart System here?’ The Account said, ‘No, I’m afraid it’s on Praxima Prime.’ “

Vorgorath continued, “That was my signal, or so I thought, it was the only thing we had between us, I liked to believe it was her way of letting me find her. Why else would someone pay for something so minor on a major card? Anyhow, I went to Praxima Prime, a large desolate world in the outskirts of the abandoned cluster. Praxima is a boring planet with only minor way stations for cargo transporters relief. In other words a strip town in the middle of nowhere.”

“We call them truck-stops on Earth or ‘Blink towns’, blink and you’ll miss it.”, said Sarina.

“Yes, that pretty much sums it up. Anyway, I arrived there and asked around if anyone had seen her. Apparently hours earlier one of the ‘truckers’ had gone looking for her, obviously with illicit intent they thought. For they hadn’t seen her or him since. I asked where she lived and apparently I was to follow the red cow trail past the mountains and into the chasms. She lived in the chasms. I purchased a hover rover and reshaped the cabin so I could fit. I drove it out to the chasms and went looking for Serenity. It was a dusty dry land, I’m surprised anything at all grew out there. I drove up to the chasms but saw no identifiable marks or housing. I was just about to turn around and go ask more questions when I saw gouging in the road. Someone else had travelled here, probably by inexpensive land vehicle. There was only one set of tracks going in. I followed it along. Winding through the chasms I finally arrived at an entrance way, outside was parked a wheeled domain transport. This was obviously the truckers, and beside it was her hover rover. I went inside, and that’s when I saw something terrible.”

Sarina eyes were wide with concern.

“Serenity was crying and her clothes were ripped and bare scraps remained, there was blood all over the place and she was kneeling on the floor in a dry spot. Blood was everywhere. I said, ‘Serenity!’ She looked at me, her eyes were sad and scared and she was more frightened than I had ever seen her before. I rushed over to her and she ran to me. I embraced her tightly and carried her outside. She cried and shook for minutes. I tore up the seat lining of the hover rover and covered her in it. I just walked her out of there and outside. We finally left the chasms and stepped into the sunshine. A while later when she was no longer shivering Serenity spoke to me, her voice was quavering with sorrow, ‘Vee, I have done a very bad thing.’ “, said Vorgorath.

“Was she ok!?”, asked Sarina.

“Yes, she was unharmed and untouched.”, said Vorgorath relived, “I asked,’ What did you do?’ Serenity said, ‘I’ve been observing, only observing, nothing more, such sadness and cruelty, such pain, injustice, falsities everywhere. Corruption and violation, you can’t escape it, and most believe it will go away, but it never will. It gets worse and more insidious every minute.’ I asked, ‘What do you mean? What are you talking about?’ She continued, ‘Evil, it breeds without measure, innocents are put to slaughter by wickedness. Evil takes power and wars ensue, the greed evil conquers all, and eventually everything is destroyed ’ I asked, ‘But what happened before? Why are you shaking?’ Serenity continued, “I killed him. I’ve never killed anyone Vee. I saw into his mind and knew what he wanted to do. I didn’t want to believe it, I thought how could anyone be so cruel to an innocent girl? And before I knew it he was tearing off my clothes. I stopped him, I mean, he was forced to stop, I began to crush his mind, with the gems powers. He wouldn’t relent though, the more I applied the force, the more he kept fighting back and moving again. Then I screamed and his body was gone.’ “

Vorgorath continued, “ ‘That was him’, I said, ‘ Painted on the walls.’. Serenity nodded. I continued, ‘What a relief, better you got to him than me, I would have pulled his arms and legs out of their sockets.’. And that’s when she chuckled, for she knew I would have done it without a thought. Serenity said, ‘I promise I won’t do it again. Like that.. There was something else when I did it that way, I saw all his past hurtle into my head, there has never been any compassion offered by him, a monster in human form, incapable of compassion, only devouring. He was evil Vee, but there are so many in the universe like him, so many… I hate them... I wish they were all dead.’ “

“At this point I nursed her, it seems her studies had allowed her abilities and powers far beyond that of mortal man. She had seen things that no innocent child or adult should ever see. I wondered at this point what to say or do, because she was delicate and exposed. She had always been a tough an independent girl, but I thought, what can I say, and then I said it, ‘Let’s kill them all, everything evil, every last one… To appease you.’ “, said Vorgorath.

“Serenity stretched out and looked at me, she looked deep into my eyes, and for once I knew she no longer needed the gems power, she met me in the dream land and touched me once more. We embraced and my body was entwined with hers, we just held each other and she cried in my arms. She spoke to me and my true ears felt it, ‘Vorgi, please rescue me from this. Help me escape from this nightmare.’ I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much in my life. I was now given the chance to help your mother as she had done for me. From there we left, I gathered her things and she stayed by my side the whole time. We got in the hover rover and headed back to the space port. We left that awful world and headed back to my past awakening planet and stayed with our old mining friends.”, said Vorgorath.
“Finally, it was a great joy to her at long last, she felt like she was becoming herself again, but better. The old mining community was her adopted family and they regarded me as their son. Serenity for the first time in her life felt happiness, a freedom. She wouldn’t talk about the gems and politely avoided conversations around them. Many days passed and Serenity became peaceful on one side, but I knew a burning fever was eating away at her personality on the other. It was hard for her to let go of what she had had been through and the things she had seen. One evening as she was watching the sunset and eating a small dinner she spoke to me, she seemed distant and reflective, ‘Vee, they will come here too, they will destroy these precious people. There isn’t a sign of malice or deceit amongst them. This population would become god like if left alone and given that chance. But, however that opportunity will be robbed from them. Like countless worlds and civilizations before. They will all become prey for cunning devourers and destroyed utterly. It is only a matter of time before they all die.’ I asked, ‘What are you talking about Serenity? What did you really see in the chasms?’ She continued, “Vee, I don’t want these people to die, I want them to live, a kingdom of their own, a civilization to be proud of, protected. Protected from evil. A true kingdom of life, evolution and kindness.’ I listened as Serenity spoke, she seemed to fill with purpose as the thoughts unfolded in her mind, “Vee, it can be done. I know how they think, I can enter their minds and control them, I can see what they do and how they do it, the gems have given me the power to understand it… Come with me.’ Serenity grabbed my hand and led me to the forest, we entered a clearing and she made me sit, I sat cross legged and she sat within my lap. ‘Shhh. Quiet now.’, she said, ‘Focus with my mind.’ And at that stage something very weird happened, one minute I was seeing the sun through the trees in one direction, in the next I was viewing it from another and I saw myself and her sitting off in the distance, she waved to me and I couldn’t believe it. I tried to wave back but then I stumbled, my leg or was it my arm faltered, I looked down and saw a skinny hoof, I balked at it and nearly fell over again. She had somehow transported me into a tiny 2 foot high mountain foal. I gained my footing and looked about, she had done it, she had actually transferred my body into another. I then heard, ‘Shhhh, shhh little foal.’ It was Serenity’s kind voice and she patted me on the head. I tried to say her name, but I just bleated. She spoke, ‘Do you see Vee, from my studies and from having you as a research partner so long ago, I figured out how to transfer to other beings. I can make them do things, control them. Both good and bad, animal and creature. Serenity scratched under my chin and I felt relief, I nodded which seemed to work as a good reply. Serenity picked me up and carried me over to my real body which just sat there still as a statue. Being only 2 feet high I saw how giant it really was. Serenity sat down in my old body’s lap and placed me as the foal in hers. She stroked my back and it felt like heaven, I rested my head down and just let her caressing hands do their work. A little while later I began to open my eyes and things seemed back to normal, the sun had nearly set and the trees were as I remembered. I looked down and I saw Serenity holding and gently patting the tiny foal, she hummed a tune to it and it woke up. The little foal rose to it’s feet and to my surprise climbed gingerly down to the ground. It turned about and wagged it’s tiny tail. Not comprehending what exactly had happened the foal didn’t feel threatened so it lowered it’s head and started to munch on some grass. Serenity said to it, ‘Go on, off you go.’ And she tapped it on the behind, the foal then trotted off to find it’s family for the evening.”

Sarina looked at Vorgorath, “This is some story!”

“There’s more.”, continued Vorgorath, “Your mother was very kind on one side and became like unforgiving metal on the other. She knew the only way to defeat evil was to be far worse that it. She would no longer tolerate it. And when we used the crystals her powers became extraordinary. She was able to transfer her mind into virtually any person regardless of their position or location, she could emulate their abilities and read through their mind like a text book. With the crystals, she had the power of a god. Not only that, she could setup scenarios where she would engage criminals to wipe each other out and beforehand they unknowingly left all of their cash for her to collect afterward. What’s more, with her powers she was able to control many of them at once, so those around never suspected. She could make them obey her every command and even implant memories or make them forget. Serenity became in all instances greater than a super psionic army, but without their telltale signs. No one could stop her, that was until she encountered others who were perfecting weapons with crystal power. They interfered with her abilities , and the criminal groups became obsessed with possessing them to protect themselves. This was a new threat, so Serenity and I began to form an army of vigilantes, the same group with you today. She would personally select them for their minds balance and beliefs. With her powers we became strong, elite and used weapon technology that she developed to enhance our bodies and armour. We became a considerable force of power. Our wealth increased thousand fold. I’ll stop the story there and continue another time, but for now I’ll answer your question of why your mother and your father wanted you to be kind and gentle, unlike Serenity.”

“Yes, I was wondering when you were getting to that, but I was enjoying the story immensely.”, said Sarina.

“She wanted you to be friendly and thoughtful, considerate and carefree, to make friends easily, live laugh and love. Things to which she had been denied all of her life. In otherwords, she didn’t want you to be alone. Serenity’s greatest folly was that she was always separate from others, independent and hard, it made her feel sad and terribly lonely. She couldn’t bare if her child had to experience the same burden as her. She adored you so much and wanted you to live a rich full life absent of conflict and evil. The daughter of Serenity the Apocalypse was going to be the stunning, gentle Moon Princess she always envisioned for you to be. But cruelly things happened which never allowed her dream to eventuate. I feel so sorry for your mother. But more than anything, the day she was the most happy of anytime I have ever seen her was the day you were born. More than several thousand years ago I held you in my hands with her blessing. You were just a tiny baby. It made her so incredibly happy.”

A tear trickled from Sarina’s eye as powerful emotions gripped her. She lowered her head and wiped them. “I can’t bare this. It’s so sad.”, said Sarina weeping.

(Hope you enjoyed it. Intriguing no? Hee Hee. Anyway, I’m going to have a bit of a break from this for a couple of weeks over the holidays. I’ve altered the style to match an assignment I’m currently working on. I need to skill up so I’ll be emulating this picture form in the future, hope you don’t mind. The other assignment is a lot grander and bigger than this, so this above stuff is all training for me. If you enjoyed it, great, if you think it needs editing, you’d be one hundred percent correct. Oh well. Anyhow, Go Sexy Sarina! You bash em good! PS: Must be spring, I keep drawing sexy girls.. Shame on Foxi!)
